Does your skin feel like the Sahara Desert OR does it feel like a sandpaper? Those of you who suffer from dry skin, just like I do; know exactly how difficult it can be to manage it. I keep slathering my face and hands with moisturizer throughout the day, and it seems like it is never going to be soft and supple like your friends and colleagues. Dry skin is not only itchy, but it makes wearing those fancy sleeveless dresses and that gorgeous makeup a pain.
HOW TO TREAT FACIAL DRY SKIN
How to treat dry skin on the face is a million-dollar question that we all love to ask because those white patches on the face are unsightly. We blame the environment for this, but it can also be our fault. Those prolonged hot showers, yes, yes!! I know everyone likes them, but it is a culprit for the dry skin and other culprits are the face wash and soaps. These face products might have certain chemicals that might affect your skin, so buy the ones that are gentle on the skin and are paraben-free.

OLIVE OIL AND SUGAR
This is a homemade moisturizer for dry skin. The combination of natural olive oil and sugar helps make your skin smooth and moisturized, by removing the dead skin. Mix about half a cup of sugar with two tablespoons of olive oil and gently scrub the skin. Wash off with water and make sure to use a lightweight moisturizer. This process can be done two to three times a week.
PAPAYA AND HONEY
Papaya is an amazing superfruit with an ability to fix all skin imperfections. It contains Vitamin A, B, C, and E, as well as potassium, and magnesium that give the skin smoothness, shine, and strength. The combination of papaya with honey is an explosion of nurturing and moisturizing substances for your skin. Mix 1 piece of papaya with 1 tablespoon of honey in a blender until you get a smooth paste. Apply this mask on clean skin and wait for 15-20 minutes to get the benefits, then rinse. Your skin will be more soft and glowy.
BANANA AND COCONUT OIL
Banana has good moisturizing capabilities and thus will provide instant relief from the dry skin. It also has anti-wrinkle properties. Coconut oil, on the other hand, helps your skin to be smooth and supple. To make the mask you will need about half ripe banana and one tablespoon of coconut oil. Mash the banana with a spoon and mix in the coconut oil. Apply it on your face and leave on for 20 minutes and rinse with cold water. This face mask can be used twice a week to get better results.
